Aaron Davies from Oceanix recently took over our ongoing yacht care and has been doing an exceptional job. His predecessor had been water blasting the teak and paint work and Aaron had to do a full makeover to get it back to where it should be. Now he maintains our yacht monthly with a scrub, cut and polish and is really flexible working around our schedule, so that its looking pristine whenever we want to take it out. The detailing he has put into the teak, sikaflex repairs and stainless steel have been second to none.

Aaron has been in my employment as First Mate since April 2007 on board the M/Y Life's Finest 11. Life's Finest 11 is a private 132ft or 40m Northcoast motor yacht with six crew that has been cruising Florida, the US east coast, and the Carribbean.

Aaron has always shown great initiative in his job. He identifies the tasks needed without direction from above, and understands how to prioritize those tasks. As the mate on board Life's Finest 11 he was responsible for the entire exterior maintenance of the vessel on his own and managed to keep up with and excel at a job that is realistically too much work for any one individual. His attitude and demeanor on and off the vessel have always been exemplary.

Aaron has shown great skill in maintaining the vessel in appearance as well as actively involved in the repair of everything on board. Quite capable of handling projects on his own, his knowledge and handiness in small repairs have been an assest to the vessel. His organizational skills have been invaluable in making my job that much easier.

Aaron has proven himself to be an excellent shipmate and a responsible second in command. No one on board this vessel was a harder worker. I will miss having him on board and wish him every success in the future. I look forward to any opportunity to sail with him again.
